I've got my heart set on anywhere but here
10 July 2009 @ 11:13 am
So my trip to Brisbane came and went last week, it was so much fun!! I love, love the DFO in Brisbane! I could spend the whole day there, if you know it weren't for the annoying fact that the shops tend to close by 5 in Australia. Oh and I went to Dreamworld with my friend in Gold Coast which was so scary but so much fun. They have this ride there called the Tower of Terror, corny right? But, seriously when the ride shoots out of the tunnel it makes this really scary sound, like a plane flying overhead or something. The thought of sitting in something that travels at those speeds scared the hell outta me. But it was the most fun ride I had sat on all day, so worth the wait.

Oh and we sat on the Giant Drop, the tallest free-falling ride in the world according to the website. It was scary shit. I literally couldn't scream even though I so wanted to. Awesome!

Ooh, and public transport in Brisbane is so cheap and fun, they have this thing called the City Cat, it travels along the Brisbane River and serves as public transport/sightseeing boat. Saw lots of pretty things.

Ooh and my friend took part in the Gold Coast Marathon on our last day there. She managed to finish it in a little over 5 hours. Congrats Xing. Now get our butt back here so you can train me. Must loose holiday weight!

Never having pancakes for breakfast ever again. I tried their Aussie Sunrise dish, it comes with bacon, an egg, grilled fruits and of course pancakes. God it was so sweet. And the bacon was salty as hell. On the other hand, I got to see my best friend again. Yay! I can't wait to go to Brisbane, there's one more person I'm excited to see again before she flies off for home. Ish, so lucky.

So the exam period is almost officially over and most of my friends have made plans to go home for the hols except me. I have one trip to Brisbane to look forward to and a couple of friends coming over but nothing much apart from that. It's just me, my computer and my Call Of Duty 4. I have gotten addicted to that game honestly. Finished it a couple of nights ago and then played it all over again last night. It's an awesome game. I am so getting CoD 5 when it comes out.

Anyway, so to celebrate the end of exams and as a farewell since the first among us is leaving tomorrow morning, we spent the day in the city today. Had KFC for lunch, did some shopping at Myer, bought my presents for my cousin's kids, had Japanese food for dinner, walked to the Harbour, had hot chocolate and waffles for dessert and then cam-whored a little before going back to my friend's place to watch Russell Peters. If you don't know who that is, you have to check this video out. It was a good day.

So I know I've been M.I.A. for a very very long time. Sorry you guys, exams and assignments conspired to ensure that I was kept busy these past few weeks. I was practically living in the library the last 2 weeks and after that well I have to admit I was kinda enjoying going out and catching up on sleep to bother doing much of anything else.

But I'm here now, and I come bearing a video. I got bored today and was going through old photos when I found this. Do you guys remember this? For those who weren't there, we took this at my friend's bachelorette party, the first one we've ever thrown. Ahh, good times. Enjoy.

So I'm into week 7 of uni now, it's been alright I guess so far but man are they keeping us busy. I had 2 quizzes today, one of which I barely had enough time to finish writing my answers for although I actually knew them. Damn, have to practise writing faster. I've got one assignment due on Friday morning and I'm at a complete loss as to how to even attempt it, I mean I've started but I'm stuck now and my tutor's consultations hours aren't till Wednesday evening which sucks cause it doesn't leave much time for revisions. I'm hoping to keep my Thursday free to study for the 2 quizzes I have next week. Yup, I've got 2 more coming up, joy. These quizzes aren't like the ones back home, last minute studying is just not the way to go... I'm so screwed.

Remind me why I took this course again?

I just got back from Supernatural's first convention in Australia! It was awesome. The guys were so funny, I loved Misha's panel and the little auction they had at the end. I don't have videos for you guys because we weren't allowed to take any and my pics are not really close up but I'll post a few of them here for you guys anyway. I wanted to get an autograph but they'd sold out by the time I wanted to buy one. Sad. Oh well, it was still good fun anyway. I got to see the boys in person!!

I finally got up early for the first time in a long while... and I mean early like 6.30 in the morning early. That's early for me. Anyway, went to the gym this morning, also for the first time in a long while and I think I overdid it, just a little. Was dizzy the whole way back. I need to shower and go and have my breakfast, then head over to the library for some serious studying. God I sound like a major nerd. But after having not donw much studying these past few days I need to sit myself down and just do some major revision. My last two quizzes didn't go so well and I can't afford to screw up again. Argh! This shit is hard.

So I have the week off. It's my mid-semester break, well technically it started on Thursday cause I have Thursdays and Fridays off uni but anyway, I made plans to study this hols and so far I've watched Bleach, House, SPN and made pretty icons. That's about it. God, why am I finding it so hard to concentrate. I swear I have more willpower than this, damnit.

I guess my being on LJ isn't really helping though... so I shall go now. Talk to ya'll soon.

P.S. Jensen and Jared are coming down to Sydney next weekend, is anyone here going for the convention?

Yup, after a whole month in Sydney. I finally managed to find a house, set up a phone line and then set up my internet account. Record breaker huh? But anyway, now that I have my own access I can finally download all the stuff I've been missing out on, like my shows and beautiful textures on DA. Oh I can also finally webcam, so babe I know you'll be reading this, turn on your webcam!!

I'll be seeing you guys around. Sorry for the long delay between posts you guys, uni's been really hectic this past week. I had three quizzes in 3 days. Had to study like crazy. Not that it helped but I feel less guilty.

Anywho, I'll post again soon. Off to go find some downloads.
